Individual-wheel drive

Individual-wheel drive means that each wheel on a vehicle can be controlled separately. Think of it like having four legs – you can move each leg independently to help you walk. In a car or truck with individual-wheel drive, each wheel can spin at its own speed or direction, which helps the vehicle move more efficiently and have better control.

For example, if you're driving on an icy road and the left front wheel slips, with individual-wheel drive, only that wheel will lose traction and slip, instead of all the wheels on one side of the vehicle. This helps the vehicle maintain stability and keep moving forward.

Individual-wheel drive is often used in vehicles that go off-road or do a lot of towing, because it helps the driver control the wheels better in tough terrain or when hauling heavy loads. It can also be found in high-performance sports cars to give them better acceleration and handling.
