Information technology security audit

An information technology (IT) security audit is a process that checks if a system is safe from hackers, viruses and other security threats. To do this, the IT professionals use special tools to look for any weaknesses or vulnerabilities in the system, and then recommend ways to fix them. For example, the IT professionals might look at passwords, firewalls, and software updates. In addition, they check the security of data and networks, as well as any other IT-related areas. Finally, they suggest ways that the system can be improved in order to protect it better.
