ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Inside job

Okay, so imagine you and your friends have a secret club. You have a special place where you keep all your toys and treats. You trust your friends to keep everything safe and only let other trusted friends into the club.

But one day, one of your friends decides they want all the toys and treats for themselves. So, they pretend to still be a good friend and sneak into the club when no one is looking. Then, they take everything and run away.

That's kind of like an inside job. It's when someone who is supposed to be part of a group or organization does something bad to that group or organization. They use their inside knowledge and access to do something wrong or harmful. It's not good to do that because it breaks trust and can hurt other people.
