Confidence trick

A confidence trick is when someone tries to trick you into giving them something that doesn't belong to them. They might tell you a story that sounds true but isn't, or try to get your money or other things that you own. The person doing the trick wants you to have trust and confidence in them, so you don't realize you're being tricked.
