Graft is when politicians use their power to get money or other things they're not supposed to have in exchange for favors. It's a kind of corruption. Think of it like a kid trading his allowance for candy. The politician trades favors, like passing a law or doing something for someone, for money or gifts. It's wrong and it's illegal.
