ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Intellectual dishonesty

Intellectual dishonesty is when someone isn't telling the truth or is misleading people in what they say. It's like lying, but with words and ideas. For example, if someone writes a paper for school and copies ideas from someone else without giving credit, that would be intellectual dishonesty. Or if someone introduces an argument in a discussion but tries to trick you into agreeing with them, that too is intellectual dishonesty.
