Intensive crop farming

Intensive crop farming is like having a huge garden where lots and lots of plants are grown together in a small space.

Like when you play Tetris and try to fit as many blocks as possible in a small space, farmers who do intensive crop farming try to grow the most amount of food in a small area so they can produce lots of food for lots of people!

They use special techniques like planting crops close together and using machines to make the soil perfect for crops to grow in. They also use special fertilizers, pesticides and watering systems to help the plants grow well and stay healthy.

Intensive crop farming is important because it helps produce lots of food to feed people all around the world. But it’s also important to make sure that the soil stays healthy and the plants are grown in a way that doesn’t harm the environment.

That’s why some farmers also use sustainable farming techniques like crop rotations and natural ways to prevent pests from eating the plants. Because they know that taking care of the land is important to keep growing food in the future!
