Intergalactic travel means travelling between different galaxies. Just like how we can move from one city to another, we can also travel from one galaxy to another.
But galaxies are very far away from each other, and it takes a long time to travel between them. It is like walking from your house to your friend's house in another city, but the distance between the galaxies is much larger.
Scientists are still figuring out how to travel to other galaxies, but it is very difficult. We need to have very fast spaceships that can travel at the speed of light, which is very fast. But even with such spaceships, it would take many years or even centuries to travel to another galaxy.
There are also other challenges we need to overcome, like finding a way to protect ourselves from radiation in space and finding a way to sustain ourselves for long periods of time without access to resources from Earth.
Many scientists believe that it will be a long time before we can actually travel to other galaxies, but with advancements in technology and science, it might one day be possible for us to explore and discover new worlds beyond our own galaxy.
