ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Interim order

An interim order is like a temporary set of rules that someone in charge makes up to help solve a problem. Just like how a mom might make an interim order that her kids have to clean their room before they can have dessert. It's not a permanent rule, just something to help fix the situation for now. Once the situation is resolved, the interim order goes away and things can go back to normal. In the grown-up world, interim orders can be made in a lot of different situations like in court cases or during a crisis when someone needs to take charge and make rules quickly.
