International criminal law

International criminal law is like when you play a game with your friends and there are rules that everyone has to follow, so no one cheats or hurts each other. In the world, countries also play a big game together and have agreed on some rules that everyone has to follow. These rules are called laws.

One type of law is called international criminal law. This type of law is about what happens when someone breaks the rules so seriously that it hurts lots of people or is really mean. It's like when you break a rule in your game and you have to sit out or lose a turn, but international criminal law is much more serious.

For example, if someone does something really bad like hurting lots of people or stealing a lot of money, and they run away to a different country, they can't just get away with it. International criminal law allows the countries to work together to make sure that this person is caught and punished for what they did.

It's important because it helps keep people safe and fairness in the game of life. It makes sure that people who do bad things don't get away with it and that everyone is treated fairly, no matter which country they come from.
