International relations is the way different countries, or nations, interact with each other. From 1814 to 1919, many different nations formed alliances, or friendships, and also fought wars with each other. During this time period, wars happened more often than ever before. At the same time, countries also started economically trading more with each other, usually in the form of buying and selling goods and services. The result of all these interactions was increased international cooperation between countries, allowing different cultures and people to learn from each other and build a more peaceful and prosperous world.
