International relations since 1989

International relations are how different countries, like the United States and Canada, work together. Since 1989, which is over 30 years ago, countries around the world have worked together to make sure people in different countries can trade with each other and do business with each other. They have also tried to make sure the world is peaceful, which means finding ways for people to settle their disputes without going to war. Over time, countries have worked together more and more often to make sure everyone has enough food, clean water, and a safe place to live.
