Interplanetary travel is when we send spacecraft (a type of machine) into space to travel to different planets. Rockets are used to get the spacecraft off the Earth, and then special machines called 'propulsion systems' help push the spacecraft further and faster to travel between planets. It's like putting an airplane on steroids! Rockets are like very powerful engines, and they are designed to help spacecraft reach very high speeds. To reach other planets, the spacecraft travels at thousands of miles per hour. This type of travel takes a long time, so spacecraft must be filled with enough food and other supplies to get them there. Once the spacecraft arrives, it can take pictures, or even collect samples that scientists on Earth can study.
