Interrupted gene

Okay kiddo, so you know how we all have genes, right? Those are special parts in our bodies that tell it how to grow and work. Well, sometimes, those genes can be interrupted.

Imagine a puzzle. The puzzle is your gene, and all the pieces fit perfectly together to make it work. But sometimes, someone comes along and takes one of the puzzle pieces away. Now the puzzle can't be completed, and it might not work like it should.

The same thing happens with genes. Something interrupts the gene and takes away or changes a piece of it, so it can't do its job properly. This can happen because of things like radiation or chemicals, or just because of a mistake that happens when the gene is making copies of itself.

This interruption can lead to health problems or differences in the way someone grows or looks compared to others. But scientists are studying interrupted genes to learn more about how our bodies work and how we can help people who have health problems because of them.
