Iranian protests against compulsory hijab

Okay kiddo, you know how some people wear hats or headbands or scarves to cover their hair? Well, in Iran, some people have to wear something called a hijab which covers their hair and neck. But some people don't want to wear it because they want to choose what they wear and they don't want someone else telling them what to do. So, they decided to have a big group of people get together and protest. Protest means to say something loudly and clearly to show that lots of people feel the same way. They wanted to tell the people in charge that they don't want to be forced to wear something they don't want to wear. It's like if someone told you that you have to wear a certain shirt every day even if you don't like it, you might also feel upset and want to protest.
