ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Isru chag

Okay, so you know how when we celebrate holidays like Passover, Sukkot or Shavuot, we get to eat special foods and have fun traditions? Well, there's something called "Isru Chag" that happens after those holidays.

Isru Chag means "to to bind together the holiday". It's an extra day after the holiday where we get to hang out with our family and friends, eat yummy food, and continue feeling happy and grateful for everything.

It's kind of like the holiday after the holiday! We get to keep celebrating and enjoying all the fun things we did during the holiday, and it's a really happy time.

So, Isru Chag is just another way we get to keep the holiday celebration going for one more day. Pretty cool, huh?
