ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Joint-use airport

A joint-use airport is like sharing your toys with your friends. It means that two different groups of people use the same airport to travel or transport things.

Just like how you have different toys you like to play with, there are different types of planes that use the airport. Some planes might be big and carry lots of people (like a school bus), while others might be smaller and only carry a few people (like a car).

When two different groups of people want to use the same airport, they have to share the space and make sure they don't get in each other's way. Just like when you have to share your toys and take turns playing with them.

At a joint-use airport, one group might use one part of the airport while the other group uses a different part. They might also have different rules and regulations they have to follow to make sure everyone is safe and can travel or transport things easily.

Overall, a joint-use airport is just like sharing your toys with your friends, but with planes and people instead!
