Kilt

A kilt is a piece of clothing, like a skirt, that is traditionally worn by men in Scotland. It is made of a thick, plaid fabric and has pleats, which are little folds in the fabric that make it look like it's been gathered. The kilt is worn around the waist and falls to the knees. It is held up by a belt or straps called a sporran. Kilts are often worn with long socks and special shoes called Ghillie Brogues.

Kilts have a long history in Scotland, dating back hundreds of years. They were originally worn as a form of armor, because they allowed the wearer to move quickly and easily in battle. Today, kilts are mostly worn for special occasions, such as weddings or festivals, and for traditional Scottish events like Highland Games.
