Kosher style

Okay kiddo, so you know how some foods are okay for us to eat and some foods are not? Well, in Jewish tradition, there are certain rules for what is okay to eat and not to eat. These are called kosher laws.

Now, some restaurants and food places might say they are "kosher style". This means that they are not really following all the kosher rules, but they might still have some food items that are similar to what you would find in a kosher establishment.

For example, they might serve pastrami (a type of meat) that is cooked in a way that is similar to how it would be cooked in a kosher place. However, they might not use kosher-certified ingredients or prepare the food in a kosher-certified kitchen.

So, when someone says that something is "kosher style", it means that it's not really kosher, but it's somewhat similar to what you might find in a kosher place. It's important to remember that if you follow kosher rules, just because something is "kosher style" does not necessarily mean it's okay for you to eat.
