Labor camps are places where people are forced to work for very little or no pay. In some cases, labor camps can be very dangerous, and people may be made to do difficult and dangerous jobs like working long hours in terrible conditions, with little or no food, water, or medical care. People in labor camps may also be forced to do dangerous activities like cutting down trees, digging in mines, and carrying very heavy items. In some cases, people in labor camps can be made to work with no breaks and little rest. People may be put in labor camps because of their religion, skin color, or nationality.
