Labor history of the United States

Labor history of the United States is the history of workers and the labor movement in America. It focuses on the struggles of workers and the way they have worked together to win better wages, working conditions and rights. For example, workers in the early 19th century fought hard to get longer hours and safer conditions, and this struggle eventually led to the first labor unions and laws to protect workers. After that, more and more workers became involved in organizing to try and win more and better rights for themselves. Throughout the 20th century and into the 21st, workers and labor unions have continued to fight for better wages, benefits and conditions. They've used strikes, boycotts and other tactics to push for worker rights, and have made huge strides in improving the lives of workers.
