ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Labor law

Labor law is the name given to laws that are created to make sure that people who work are treated fairly, and have rights when it comes to their work. It's important that workers have rules that protect them and make sure their jobs are safe. Labor laws can include things like the minimum wage (how much workers must be paid), rules about how much time they can work, and what they can do if they don't feel safe at their jobs. Labor laws protect workers and make sure that they are paid and treated fairly.
