Lake freighter

A lake freighter, also known as a laker, is a large ship used to carry freight (or cargo) on the Great Lakes of North America. They are typically much larger than any other type of ship, and some of the biggest lake freighters can carry more than 1 million tons of cargo at once! Lake freighters travel from port to port along the Great Lakes, carrying goods like iron ore, coal, and grain from one city to another.
