ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Laki

"Laki" is a Hawaiian word that means "big" or "large." Imagine you're playing with blocks and some blocks are smaller than others. Well, "laki" is like the really big blocks! Just like an elephant is a very big animal compared to a mouse, "laki" is used to describe things that are very large. Hawaiians might say "laki maika'i" to mean "big and good" or "laki loa" to mean "extremely big." So whenever you see or hear the word "laki," just think of something really big!
