Land-grant university

A land-grant university is a type of college or university that receives special funding from the government. This funding helps provide educational opportunities to students who may not have access to other types of colleges. The government gives money to the land-grant universities so they can offer lower tuition costs and more financial aid to people who cannot afford to pay for a typical college education. This money also helps the universities pay for faculty salaries, research activities, and other learning materials.
