Language geography

Language geography is about how language is distributed in different parts of the world. People all over the world speak different languages, and some parts of the world have more than one language that people speak. Language geography is a way to study this, by looking at where different languages are spoken and how different languages influence each other. For example, there are many Spanish-speaking countries in South and Central America, and so Spanish is the main language of many people in that region.
