Liberal nationalism

Liberal nationalism is a kind of politics that combines ideas from two different ways of thinking. Liberalism looks at each person as an individual and holds that each person should be treated fairly and be allowed to make their own choices. Nationalism believes that people should unite under a common culture or identity, that reflects their shared history, values, and ideas. Liberal nationalists believe that the best way to create a united identity is through respect and understanding for the individual. This means giving people basic rights and freedoms, like the right to vote, freedom of speech, and freedom of religion. Liberal nationalists also strongly believe in the idea of a united nation-state, which gives people a sense of belonging, identity, and security.
