Plurinationalism

Plurinationalism is when there is more than one nation represented in a single country. An example of this is Ecuador, which has both indigenous people (native Americans) and people from Spanish colonial backgrounds living together. This means that Ecuador is made up of two different cultures and languages. Plurinationalism is important because it allows all parts of a society to be recognized and respected, even though they may be different.
