Life cycle thinking

Life cycle thinking means looking at the environmental costs of a product from beginning to end—from when the raw materials to make it are harvested, through the production process, to how it is used, and how it is recycled or disposed of after use. Thinking about the life cycle of a product helps us to understand how our everyday choices contribute to environmental health.
