Light skin

Light skin is the color of your skin. Your skin is the natural protection that covers your body. Some people have light skin while other people have dark or other colors of skin. The color of your skin is determined by the amount of a pigment called melanin in your skin. The more melanin your skin has, the darker your skin is. People with more melanin in their skin usually live in warmer climates, and people with light skin usually live in colder climates. Climate can also have an effect on the color of your skin, as people's skin will get darker when exposed to the sun.
