Limit point

A limit point is a special point that is very important in mathematics. Imagine you have a lot of points on a line, like dots on a piece of paper. A limit point is a point that is really close to a lot of these dots.

Let's say you have a bunch of dots on a line that are really close together. If you pick a random point on that line, it will probably be really close to at least one of those dots. That point is called a limit point, because it's the limit of all the other points that are really close to it.

In other words, a limit point is a point that is surrounded by other points, and if you move just a little bit away from it, you'll still be really close to some other point. It's like a huddle of points that are all sticking together.

Limit points are important in math because they help us understand how sequences or sets of points converge to a certain point. They also help us define the concept of a closed set, which is an important idea in topology.
