Lithuanian mythology

Lithuanian mythology is like a big book of stories and legends that the people of Lithuania used to believe a long, long time ago. It's kind of like how you have favorite stories with heroes and villains, except these stories are about gods and goddesses, mythical creatures, and magical powers.

The legend goes that a prince named Gediminas once had a dream where he saw a huge wolf made of iron howling on top of a hill. A wise man told him that this meant he would build a great city on that hill, and he did! That's how the city of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, was founded.
