ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Livestock

Livestock are animals that are raised by humans for a variety of reasons. These animals can include cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, and goats. People often raise livestock to get things like meat, milk, eggs, and wool.

When people raise livestock, they have to take good care of them. This means giving them food, water, and shelter. They also have to make sure the animals stay healthy by making sure they get medical care when they need it.

Sometimes, people will have a lot of livestock on a big farm or ranch. They might use machines to help feed the animals and take care of them. Other times, people might have just one or two animals in their backyard.

People have been raising livestock for thousands of years. It's an important part of many cultures and a way for people to get the things they need to survive.
