When we travel in space, we can't use cars or airplanes like we do here on Earth because there is no air in space. Instead, we use machines called rockets. Rockets are made up of engines that shoot out hot gases that push the rocket forward, allowing it to fly and travel in space. To control where a rocket goes, the engines are usually arranged so that the rocket can be steered and travel in any direction. Rockets are powerful and fast, so they're the best way for astronauts and space probes to get around in space!
