ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Long-distance trail

A long-distance trail is like a very, very long walk that goes through lots of different places. Imagine going for a walk that takes many days or weeks, and you get to see lots of different kinds of scenery like forests, mountains, lakes, and valleys. Long-distance trails have special signs that show you where to go and different spots to rest, eat, and drink water. Some people like to walk these trails all at once, while others prefer to do it in different parts over a longer period of time. It's kind of like a big adventure!
