Longtang

Longtang is a type of neighborhood in China that is usually found in big cities like Shanghai. It's kind of like a neighborhood within a neighborhood, where there are lots of little streets and alleys that all connect together.

Longtang houses are usually small and narrow, and they are built right next to each other. Sometimes they are so close together that you can reach out and touch the wall of the house next to you! That's because they are located right in the heart of the city, which makes it easy to get to work or go shopping.
