Love–hate relationship

A love-hate relationship is when two people feel both love and hate for each other. It's like having two different feelings at the same time. For example, say you and your best friend like to spend a lot of time together and share lots of jokes, but sometimes you disagree about things and shout at each other. That's an example of a love-hate relationship.
