ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ludwig Lange (physicist)

Ludwig Lange was a man who liked to study things that happen in the world around us. He was really good at using math and science to figure out how things work. Just like when you solve a jigsaw puzzle by putting the right pieces together, Ludwig solved puzzles about how things in the world work.

One of the things that Ludwig was really interested in was sound. He worked hard to figure out how sound travels through different materials like water, air, and metal. He used fancy machines to measure how sound waves move and change over time. By studying different sounds, Ludwig was able to explain why some things sound the way they do and how we can make sounds louder or softer.

Ludwig also liked to study light. He wanted to know how light travels and how we see objects around us. He discovered that the colors we see are made up of different wavelengths of light, like a rainbow! Ludwig also figured out how lenses work, which are special pieces of glass that let us see things that are far away or make things look bigger.

Overall, Ludwig Lange was a very curious man who loved figuring out how things work. His work in physics, the study of how things move and interact with each other, helped us understand many things about sound and light that we use in our daily lives.
