Macedonia (region)

Macedonia is a place that used to be part of a big empire a long time ago. The people who lived there were called Macedonians. Nowadays, Macedonia is a region that spans across a few countries, including Greece, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria. It has beautiful mountains, lakes, and rivers that make it a popular spot for tourists to visit. However, because different countries claim parts of this region, there has been some disagreement about what it should be called and who gets to have control over it. Despite this, the people who live there continue to be proud of their Macedonian heritage and culture.
