Mainstreaming (education)

Mainstreaming (education) is when a student who has different needs than most other students, such as having a disability, is placed in a regular classroom with other students. This helps the student with different needs get used to being around and learning with other students. Mainstreaming in education also allows the student to learn more easily and to make friends.
