Malicious compliance

Malicious compliance is when someone follows instructions, even if they disagree with them, but does it in a way that causes trouble for the people who gave the instructions. For example, if someone asks you to do a job in a certain way, but you know there is a better way, you might follow the instructions in a way that wastes a lot of time and causes problems.
