A Mars landing is when a rocket or spacecraft lands on the planet Mars. Rockets and spacecrafts use fuel, computers, and antennas to make their way to Mars. Once they reach Mars, they use a combination of rockets and parachutes to slow them down so they can land safely. Landing on Mars is a difficult job, because the planet has no real atmosphere, which means the air is very thin, so it's hard to slow down safely. Even though it is a difficult task, humans have managed to land spacecrafts on Mars many times!
