Matthew 28
Okay kiddo, let me tell you the story of Matthew 28.
After Jesus, who was a really special person and did a lot of good things for people, died on the cross and was buried, something amazing happened.
On the third day, some of Jesus' friends, who were called Mary and Mary Magdalene, went to visit his tomb. But when they got there, they found that the stone that was blocking the tomb was moved and the tomb was empty.
Suddenly, an angel appeared to them and said, "Don't be afraid! I know you came here looking for Jesus, but he is not here because he has risen from the dead, just as he said he would!"
The two Marys were very happy when they heard this news and they went to tell the other disciples about it. As they were telling the story, Jesus himself appeared to them and said, "Hello! Don't be afraid! Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, where they will see me."
So, the disciples followed Jesus' instructions and went to Galilee. There, they saw him and he talked to them and gave them some special instructions before he went to heaven to be with his Father.
That's basically what happened in Matthew 28, kiddo. Jesus' resurrection from the dead was a very special event and it's celebrated by Christians all over the world every year.
