Matthew Bible

Okay, kiddo, so the Matthew Bible is a special version of the Bible that was put together by a man named William Tyndale. He took the parts of the Bible that were written in Hebrew and Greek and translated them into English so that people who didn't speak those languages could understand the Bible better.

Then, another man named John Rogers took Tyndale's translation and added some commentary and notes to help people understand it even more. That's how the Matthew Bible came to be.

It's called the Matthew Bible because it was the first complete translation of the Bible that included the New Testament of Matthew's gospel. It was published in 1537, and it was important because it helped spread the word of God to more people who could read and understand the Bible in their own language.

So, the Matthew Bible is just a special version of the Bible that was written in English a long time ago to help people understand the Bible better. People still read it today to learn more about God and the teachings in the Bible.
