Median strip

Okay kiddo, have you ever been on a road that has a wide grassy area or a bunch of trees in the middle? That's called a median strip! It's like a divider between the lanes going in opposite directions.

The median strip helps keep cars from crashing into each other by giving them some space between the lanes. It can also make the road look nice with all the plants and trees growing in it.

Sometimes, instead of plants or trees, there are just concrete barriers or metal guardrails in the median strip. This helps protect drivers if they accidentally go off the road or if a car crosses over into the opposite lane.

So, the median strip is basically a safety feature and a decorative addition to many roads!
