Memetic engineering

Memetic engineering is when someone tries to control people's thoughts or behavior by using different kinds of words and images. Basically, it means using popular ideas and expressions, such as phrases or memes, to make other people think or act in a specific way. For example, a meme or phrase might be created that makes people question something they would normally not think about, or encourages them to do something they might not normally do, like donate to a cause.
