Metadata registry

A metadata registry is a type of database that stores information about other types of data. It’s like a library – the library stores information about books, so you can look up what books they have, what they’re about, who wrote them, and more. The metadata registry works the same way, but instead of books, it stores information about other kinds of data. It tells you things like what kind of data it is, where it came from, how old it is, who created it and more. That way, when you want to find a certain kind of data, you can look it up in the metadata registry to see where to find it.
