Data element

Data elements are bits of information. Think of them like building blocks. Just like a Lego set is made up of lots of different Lego blocks, data element is made up of lots of different pieces of information. For example, a data element might contain someones name, address, and date of birth. When you combine all these pieces together, you have a data element!
