Meter operator

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a meter outside of your house? It's usually a little box or gadget that measures how much electricity or gas you use every month.

Now, a meter operator is a person or company that helps manage all of those meters for everyone in your neighborhood. They make sure the meters are working correctly and keep track of how much energy you use.

Let's say there is a problem with your meter and it's not working properly - the meter operator would come and fix it for you. They also read the meter every month so your energy company knows how much to charge you for your bill.

So basically, a meter operator takes care of all the meters and helps make sure you and your neighbors get the right amount of energy and bills every month. Pretty cool, huh?
