ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Michael Werner (publisher)

Ok kiddo, so first let me explain what a publisher is. A publisher is a person or a company who makes books, magazines or newspapers and puts them out into the world for people to read. So Michael Werner is a person who owns a publishing company, which means he is in charge of making sure that books, magazines or newspapers get made and sent out into the world.

Think of it like baking a cake, Michael Werner is like the chef in charge of creating the cake mix, putting it in the oven and making sure it comes out just right. Then he puts it on display for all to see, just like how he puts the books, magazines, or newspapers he creates out for people to read.

Michael Werner might have a team of people helping him in the publishing process, just like how a big bakery has a team of bakers, but he is the one who is in charge and gets the credit for everything that gets published.

Does that make sense to you, little one?
